TFWA reveals major sponsors of China’s Century Conference

TFWA has announced that four of the leading forces in global duty free and travel retail have already confirmed their support for the third TFWA China’s Century Conference. More sponsors will be announced soon.

Lagardère will be a platinum sponsor of the event, while the gala dinner on day two of the conference, will be sponsored by DFS. Furla will sponsor the lunch, taking part on day one and stylish hostess uniforms will be provided by Lacoste.

The conference, which will take place from 7th to 9th March 2017 in Guangzhou, will offer delegates plenty of food for thought, and in a packed programme, a number of experts from China and beyond share their thoughts on this fascinating and fast evolving market. It will be held at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel, and the Official Host of the event will be Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Co.A full networking and social programme around the conference will be provided by TFWA and its partners ensuring that delegates will have plenty of opportunities to meet and catch up with contacts at both formal and less formal events over the three days. For those looking to take full advantage of their time at the conference, TFWA’s ONE2ONE meeting services connect airports, airlines, cruise & ferry operators, retailers and suppliers.

“At the last China’s Century Conference in Shanghai in 2015, the hot topics were the move away from conspicuous consumption and the new leadership’s economic reforms,” said TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen. “This year, the rise of ‘domestic’’ duty free and Chinese passenger preference for new destinations will certainly be talking points. In 2015, we welcomed nearly 400 delegates from across the duty free and travel retail sector from China and beyond. The 2017 event is undoubtedly shaping up to be equally as well attended.”

Pre-registration for the event will open next month. Further updates on the TFWA China’s Century Conference 2017 will be available soon on tfwa.com.
