SSP, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, has won a new contract with Egyptian Airports Company to operate a number of restaurants and cafés in Terminal 1 at Hurghada International Airport. The contract was awarded following a public tender process.
The new deal will see the introduction of 12 brands. These will include four celebrated names new to the airport – KFC, Costa Coffee, Camden food co. and Levito Pizza & Pasta. These will join the existing brands operated by SSP at the airport, which include Burger King, FloCafe, Coffee Lab, Ritazza, Upper Crust, Flavours and Alsafi among others.
Commenting on the deal, George Antoniou, Managing Director of SSP Eastern Europe and the Middle East said; “Since we first began operating here in Egypt, our business has developed considerably. This new contract win is testament to our ability to deliver a high quality, innovative programme of food and beverage. Our understanding of the international and local travelling consumer means that we have created a mix of offers that really meets the needs of all passenger demographics at this important transport hub.”
