iCoupon, the global leader of intelligent vouchering solutions in airports and embraced by hundreds of airlines worldwide, has added Italian flag carrier ITA Airways to its rapidly growing portfolio.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in iCoupon’s plans for expansion, further strengthening its presence across Europe and strengthening connections into the USA and Latin America.
The deal means iCoupon will implement its automated vouchering system into ITA Airways’ operations, providing a seamless solution for passengers whose flights have been delayed. Starting with Rome Fiumicino Airport, ITA Airways plans to roll out iCoupon’s services to all airports served by the company, which totals approximately 70 airports worldwide.
The iCoupon platform’s contact-free technology will enable the seamless application of vouchers directly to passengers’ boarding passes in the case of flight disruption, eliminating the need for physical vouchers or passengers having to follow complex downloading procedures for wallet-based solutions.
Richard Bye, CEO of iCoupon, said: “As the number one airline in Italy, ITA Airways is another fantastic addition to our portfolio. iCoupon is the only global integrated network of retailers that allows an airline to have a standardised solution at both ends of the passenger’s journey. This massively improves efficiency when managing the consequences of delays.
“Adopting iCoupon’s platform will enable ITA Airways to further enhance the customer experience and ensure a hassle-free travel experience for passengers, reinforcing its position as a leading player in the global aviation landscape.”
