iCoupon, the leading global intelligent vouchering platform worldwide, has secured a contract to bring disruption meal voucher services to Pegasus Airline passengers. iCoupon already partners with SunExpress and Corendon Airlines in the region, and this latest deal, which is with Turkey’s largest airline, consolidates the company’s position in this important European market.
Working with iCoupon, Pegasus will benefit from a simplified process that has been proven to increase passenger satisfaction. iCoupon’s intelligent vouchering solutions aim to reduce inconvenience to both the passenger and airline by transferring meal vouchers used in the case of a disruption directly to a passenger’s boarding pass. This eliminates the need for traditional paper vouchers, streamlining the compensation process and helping airlines maintain their day-to-day activities as well as move towards their sustainability goals.
Pegasus operates around 112 aircrafts and carried nearly 32 million passengers last year. With OAG data stating that around 4% of passengers experience delays, the new deal means that potentially over a million passengers annually will have a better experience during delays.
Richard Bye, CEO of iCoupon, said: “While delays are often caused by issues beyond the control of airlines, airports and airport retailers ensuring passenger experience is smooth and efficient is a priority for all airlines. iCoupon’s growth in Europe has been impressive and we’re very proud to be serving over 95% of carriers in this territory. We look forward to welcoming Pegasus Airlines into our ever-expanding group of partners.”
Şerife Akın, Senior Purchasing Director at Pegasus Airlines said: “We are pleased to collaborate with iCoupon, a partner that shares our commitment to enhancing the passenger experience. This innovative vouchering solution aligns with our goal of providing a more seamless and efficient journey for our passengers during disruptions. By eliminating traditional paper-based processes, we not only improve service but also contribute to our broader sustainability initiatives. We look forward to the positive impact this partnership will bring to both our operations and the overall passenger experience.”
